How the Pinpoint Solver Works

Our Pinpoint solver gives you today's answer, all five clues, and hints for the daily LinkedIn Pinpoint puzzle. Click any clue bar to reveal clues up to that point. If you want to go one at a time, Reveal Next shows the next clue in sequence, then the answer after all five are visible. Reveal Answer skips the process entirely and shows all clues plus the category. Clear All resets the board back to just the first clue, which is useful if you want to try a fresh approach. Every past puzzle is here too, so you can look up any day you missed.

The goal is to use as few clues as possible. On LinkedIn, your score is tied to how many clues you needed before getting the answer, so revealing just one or two clues here can give you the push you need without spoiling the challenge. That's the distinction between this tool and sites that simply post the answer at the top of the page. You control what you see.

What Is LinkedIn Pinpoint?

Pinpoint is a daily word-association game on LinkedIn. Each puzzle gives you five clues, revealed one at a time, and they all point to a single category. Your job is to figure out what that category is using as few clues as possible. Guess it after one clue and you score 5 out of 5. Need all five before it clicks, and you score 1.

The clues range from obvious to obscure, and the order matters. LinkedIn typically starts with the hardest clue and works toward the easiest, so if you're stuck on clue one, clue two often shifts the picture. A new puzzle drops every day at midnight Pacific Time, and your score shows on the LinkedIn leaderboard.

Pinpoint is one of seven daily games LinkedIn offers. If you play the others, we have solver tools for Crossclimb, Queens, Tango, Zip, Mini Sudoku, and Patches.

Tips for Solving Pinpoint

Before you reach for the solver, try this: read the first clue and brainstorm at least three possible categories, not just one. When the second clue drops, see which of your guesses still fits. This narrowing process is how most fast solvers approach it.

Pay attention to how specific the clues are. A clue like "oak" could point to dozens of categories, but "birch" alongside it narrows things considerably. The connection between clues is usually more telling than any single clue on its own.

If you're aiming for a better leaderboard time, use Reveal Next on our solver to see just one more clue rather than revealing the full answer. One extra nudge is often all it takes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Pinpoint is a daily word-association game on LinkedIn. Each puzzle gives you five clues that all belong to a single category. Clues are revealed one at a time, and your score depends on how few clues you need to guess the category. A new puzzle is released every day at midnight Pacific Time.

You see one clue at a time and try to guess the category that connects all five. The fewer clues you need, the better your score: guessing after one clue scores 5 out of 5, while needing all five scores 1 out of 5. Clues typically start harder and get easier, so if the first clue stumps you, the second often helps.

Each Pinpoint puzzle has exactly five clues. All five belong to the same category. The clues are ordered from hardest to easiest, so the first clue is usually the most difficult to connect to the answer.

All LinkedIn Games, including Pinpoint, reset daily at midnight Pacific Time (PT). If you're in a different time zone, the new puzzle may appear during your morning rather than at midnight local time.

The solver lets you reveal clues at your own pace. Click any clue bar to reveal clues up to that point, use Reveal Next for one clue at a time, or use Reveal Answer to see all five clues and the category immediately. Clear All resets the board to just the first clue. The puzzle picker lets you look up answers from previous days.

Use the puzzle picker on our Pinpoint solver tool to view answers from the last few days. The picker shows the three most recent puzzles so you can catch up on any you missed.

Pinpoint scores range from 1 to 5, based on how many clues you needed. A score of 5 means you guessed the category after just one clue, which is considered excellent. A score of 3 or above (guessing with three or fewer clues) is a strong result for most players.
