Word Chums Cheat
Type ? or space for blank tiles (up to 2).
The Word Chums Cheat That Knows the Real Scores
Word Chums looks a lot like Scrabble or Words With Friends, but it keeps its own score. Letter values are different, and the game pays a flat bonus for long plays: +10 points for using 5 tiles, +20 for 6, and +40 for all 7. A generic word finder ranked by Scrabble points will happily steer you to the wrong word. This cheat scores every result with the official Word Chums letter values and tile bonuses, so the word at the top of the list really is your best play.
How to Use It
- Enter your rack. Type up to 15 letters. For blank tiles, type ? or a space; Word Chums gives you at most 2.
- Narrow it down (optional). Use the Begins With, Contains, and Ends With boxes under your letters. This is handy when you need to hook onto a specific tile already on the board.
- Pick your play. Results are grouped by length with the biggest words first, and you can filter to a single length with one tap. Letters drawn from a blank tile appear as lighter tiles and score zero, so you can see exactly which tiles to lay down. Tap any word to open its definition in our dictionary.
Word Chums Letter Values
These are the letter values this cheat uses to score your words. Note the differences from Scrabble: C, K, and V are worth 6, W is worth 5, and Y is worth 3.
Quick Tips from the Tile Bag
- Length beats luck. The +40 bonus for a 7 tile play usually outweighs any premium square, so always check the 7 and 6 letter groups first.
- Respect the C, K, and V. At 6 points each they are worth far more than in Scrabble. Words like COVE, KAVA, and VICE punch above their weight.
- Save blanks for bonuses. A blank scores zero, so spend it to unlock a 5, 6, or 7 tile play rather than a short word.
- Keep one S. An S both pluralizes and hooks, letting you play your word and extend an existing one in the same turn.
