Welcome to our Quordle Solver! If you’ve gotten sucked into the challenge of Quordle but are struggling to win, you’re not the only one. This tool is perfect for anyone who’s ready to try a new puzzling challenge but isn't necessarily able to get the answer on their own. Read on to learn more about the history of Quordle and how to use our Quordle Solver. Soon enough, you’ll be stunning all your friends with your advanced Quordle skills!

How To Use Our Quordle Solver

  1. Enter your guess. Unlike our Wordle Solver, our Quordle Solver’s interface mimics the Quordle board. As you advance in the game, enter your guesses into our Solver.
  2. Mark which letters are green or yellow. Once you’ve entered in your word, move through each of the four puzzles, marking which tiles are green and which are yellow. Clicking a tile once will turn it green. Clicking it twice will turn it yellow.
  3. Once you’ve entered everything, click the green update button. This will update the results below the board.
  4. Results are sorted by word. Clicking between the four tabs will indicate possible answers for each of the four separate words. Some words will be harder to identify than others: some may have hundreds of possible answers while others maybe only have a dozen. Still, by toggling between the tabs, you can consider what words are options for each of your guesses and identify general trends in letters that allow you to optimize your next guess.
  5. When you play your next row on the Quordle, make sure to update the Quordle Solver. You don’t need to enter each guess into all four quadrants, only one. Still, make sure you’re updating the green and yellow results for each Quordle as you go.

History of Quordle

Quordle draws heavy inspiration from Wordle and makes no effort to hide that fact. For one, the name is a clear homage to Wordle. The game itself was created by a man named Freddie Meyer, who got into Wordle in January. Eventually, Meyer went on to play Dordle, a two-game version of Wordle, but decided he needed more of a challenge. Alongside a friend, David Mah, he came up with the Quordle format.

The response to the game has been very positive, with many people saying it offers a challenge that Wordle doesn’t. Others, though, have said the game is even more frustrating than Wordle itself – a hard feat to accomplish.

Other Wordle-type Games

Since Wordle made it big back in January, plenty of different Wordle-style games have popped up on the internet. Quordle is one such game, which does a lot to up the difficulty level for players. But there are other similar games, too, some of them more challenging than others. Here are a few of the best Wordle-type games to check out:

  1. Mathle

This game innovates on the Wordle form in a way that is fun for all math lovers. Instead of asking you to guess a word, the game asks you to guess an equation that results in a certain number. For your friends who weren’t quite wordy enough to get into the Wordle phrase, this game is perfect.

  1. Heardle

This game dubs itself the Wordle of music, and requires players to guess a song after playing clips of music. The game starts by playing a one-second clip, then two seconds for the second guess, and so on and so forth until the final guess, a six-second clip. It might sound easy, but it’s deceptively difficult, especially for those of us not plugged into new music.

  1. Squabble

This game isn’t just inspired by Wordle: it also pulls its cues from competitive games like Scrabble. In this game, you play Wordle against competitors, be that strangers or family members. With each correct guess, you don’t just improve your own standing: you also deal a blow to theirs. The game is heaps of fun and perfect for those who don’t find Wordle a time-sensitive enough challenge.

  1. Octordle

Think Quordle is as hard as it gets? Think again. Octordle functions just like Quardle, except instead of only guessing four words at a time, you’re guessing eight. This game is definitely not for the faint of heart. But if you succeed, you’ll get bragging rights for at least a month.

  1. Lingle

Our Lingle games are quite similar to Wordle in many ways, but in others, they expand the genre. Instead of offering only 5-letter games, we have 4-letter, 6-letter, and 7-letter Lingles, and unlimited games to play in the mobile app versions, meaning the fun never has to end – or at least, it doesn’t need to end as quickly as it does in Wordle.
