How Krillion Works
Krillion gives everyone the same seven prompts each day, starting at midnight Eastern Time. Each prompt asks you to name something: a pasta dish, a part of the human head, something you ride while standing up. The prompt appears for three seconds before the clock starts, then you have 25 seconds to type one answer. There is one dive per day and no second chances.
Any answer on the game's sheet is accepted, but not all answers are equal. The obvious ones barely count and the obscure ones sink you deep: every point is 10 meters, and a perfect day of 700 points reaches 7,000 meters. Krillion also has a paid archive of past dives, an unlimited mode and themed packs; this page covers the free daily dive.
How the Krillion Tiers Work
| Tier | Points | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Plankton | 10 | The answer everyone blurts out. |
| Schooler | 30 | Solid: swims with the school. |
| Rare | 60 | Genuinely uncommon. Nice pull. |
| Deep Cut | 85 | True obscurity. Few go this deep. |
| One in a Krillion | 100 | The designated gem. Trench floor. |
Each prompt has a designated One in a Krillion, chosen partly for how satisfying it is to land on, so a Deep Cut can be rarer than the gem. Rarity is not a vote count: Krillion's FAQ says answers are rated from data on how often a word or name turns up in what people read and write, or, where that does not work, with a language model and a manual pass. On October 28, 2026, for "Name a part of the human head", nose was Plankton, earlobe was Schooler and the gem was habenula, a tiny brain structure; frontal lobe, one of the most common answers that day, still scored as Rare.
How to Use This Page Without Spoiling Your Dive
Every prompt has its own card, so you can stop at the one you want help with. The checker is the gentlest help: type the answer you are thinking of and it tells you only that answer's tier, or that it is close to one on the sheet. Each tier's list opens on its own, from the Plankton answers everyone gives down to the Deep Cuts, which can run to two thousand per prompt and come with a filter box. The One in a Krillion stays behind letter tiles; tap one tile for a single letter.
Once we have taken the day's popularity snapshot, each card can also show the answers players typed most, with the tier each one earned. A date picker opens every day this page has recorded, back to October 28, 2026. For other daily puzzles see more daily game solvers.
Krillion Strategy
Skip the first thing that comes to mind, and then skip the second: the famous "obscure" pick is exactly what the Too Clever tier is for. A Rare answer on every prompt scores 420, far more than one gem and six Plankton answers. Regional dishes, technical terms and historical variants of an obvious answer are usually where the Deep Cuts are.
Spend the three-second preview choosing a direction rather than an answer, then type something you are sure is real: a miss scores nothing, while even Plankton scores 10. Spelling does not have to be perfect, because Krillion autocorrects small typos and knows many aliases.
Frequently Asked Questions
A free daily trivia game at krillion.io, launched on July 16, 2026. Every day has seven open-ended prompts, the same for everyone, such as "Name a pasta dish". You get 25 seconds to type one answer to each, and rarer accepted answers score more.
Every accepted answer sits in a rarity tier: Plankton 10 points, Schooler 30, Rare 60, Deep Cut 85 and One in a Krillion 100. An answer the game does not accept, or no answer in time, scores 0. Each point is 10 meters of depth, so a perfect day of 700 points reaches 7,000 meters.
It is the game's designated gem for a prompt, worth the full 100 points. Krillion chooses it partly for how satisfying it is to find, not on rarity alone, so a Deep Cut can be rarer than the gem. Now and then a prompt has two; this page shows one, and the checker scores either.
According to Krillion's FAQ, answer sets are built from dictionaries, encyclopedias and other sources, then merged and cleaned. Where possible, rarity comes from data on how often a word or name appears in what people read and write; other prompts are rated with help from a language model and a manual pass. It is not based on how many players typed an answer.
A new dive starts every day at midnight Eastern Time (New York). This page updates a few minutes later.
This page lists the answers on Krillion's own sheet. The game also accepts aliases it does not publish and autocorrects small typos, so an answer we cannot find may still count. Our checker flags near matches as close.
In each prompt's gem box, behind letter tiles: tap a tile for one letter, or Show answer for the whole thing. The tier lists stay closed until you open them too.
