MOFUSSIL. (countable and uncountable, plural MOFUSSILs) (India) Originally, the regions of India outside the three {{w, East India Company}} capitals of Bombay, Calcutta and Madras; hence, parts of a country outside an urban centre; the regions, rural areas.
