ENDOMITOSIS (plural - or endomitoses) (biology) A type of cell cycle variation where mitosis is initiated, but some of the processes of mitosis are not completed. This will give rise to either a mononucleated or binucleated polyploidy, polyploid cell. Not to be confused with endoreplication.
