It was a ADJECTIVE day in YEAR when I had a life-changing experience that ignited my passion for literacy. I was VERB ENDING IN +ING as a JOB TITLE in CITY, STATE. One day, I met PERSONS NAME, a ADJECTIVE and ADJECTIVE AGE -year-old with DISABILITY. I noticed that HE/SHE/THEY WAS/WERE having trouble VERB ENDING IN +ING due to HIS/HER/THEIR complex communication needs. This was crushing for me because I could see that PERSONS NAME had so much to say... if only HE/SHE/THEY had the tools to express HIMSELF/HERSELF/THEIRSELF. Then, something happened that transformed the way I think about literacy for EVERYONE, including people who use AAC! MY LITERACY WHY STORY From that point on, I have been so VERB +ED to starting my own literacy revolution. Today is ADJECTIVE because I get to spend time learning with others who share my passion at Closing the Gap 2023! WooHoo!
