Once upon a time, I moved to a new town and started fourth grade at Acequia Elementary. On my first day, I felt a mix of EMOTION and EMOTION as I walked through the ADJECTIVE school doors.
As I entered the hallway, I saw colorful PLURAL NOUN on the walls and a big COLOR rug in the center. There, I met the ADJECTIVE custodian, Mr. Sanders, who was busy VERB ENDING IN ING. He gave me a friendly NOUN and wished me a great day.
Walking further down the hallway, I saw the school's ADJECTIVE dog, Lulu, wagging its NOUN. I stopped to give it a gentle VERB and felt instantly EMOTION.
In the cafeteria, I met the ADJECTIVE lunch lady, Mrs. Zampedri, who was serving up ADJECTIVE FOOD ITEM. She had a ADJECTIVE smile and told me about her favorite NOUN.
When I finally entered my classroom, I saw our teacher, Mr. Strauch, who had a big NOUN on his face. He introduced himself and shared a funny story about a NOUN that had the whole class VERB with laughter. I knew he would be a ADJECTIVE teacher.
During recess, I made two new ADJECTIVE friends, FRIEND'S NAME and FRIEND'S NAME, while playing ADJECTIVE GAME. We chatted about our favorite PLURAL NOUN and discovered we had a lot in common.
As the day went on, I had a chance to meet the ADJECTIVE principal, Mrs. Hepworth, who talked about her passion for HOBBY. She gave us a ADJECTIVE speech about the importance of kindness and learning.
At the end of the day, I gathered my PLURAL NOUN and felt EMOTION about my new school. The first day had been ADJECTIVE, and I knew this year was going to be filled with ADJECTIVE adventures. I realized that new beginnings can be ADJECTIVE, and I was excited to continue my journey in fourth grade at Acequia Elementary.
And so, my first day at the new school taught me an important lesson: new places can bring ADJECTIVE surprises and ADJECTIVE friendships.
