Driver Dilema

There is a perfectly  ADJECTIVE reason I was late to the  PLACE this morning. Traffic was  ADJECTIVE . I swear to  PERSONS NAME I left the house early enough to get there on time. However, as soon as I turned onto  NOUN street to arrive at the  VERB there was a line of  COLOR cars ahead of me and I could not park in a spot. I sat waiting for  NUMBER of minutes. Finally,  ANIMAL started leaving, and I could  VERB. Are we not priority over  COUNTRY ? I was told we were! Since I did not  VERB can I still get  ADJECTIVE for my wait? I raced here as fast as  COUNTRY would allow, so I should be  VERB for all my time.
