1. Open the clamp and insert a finger into the oximeter, then gently release the clamp.
2. Press the power button, the display will light up and after a few seconds, the device will display pulse oximeter (normal is 95% and over) and pulse rate measuring values.
3. If the machine does not start, it may need a battery replaced.
NOTES:
• Keep your tested hand still during the measurement.
• False nails and nail polish will prevent an accurate reading.
• Cold fingers will prevent an accurate reading.
• Clean the rubber touching the finger probe inside of the pulse oximeter with a cleaning wipe or alcohol wipe.
• People with chronic lung disease may have lower readings as a “normal baseline”, please contact your provider and discuss.
