Within the ADJECTIVE populated scholarship of Roger D. Abrahams no NOUN lifts its NOUN more frequently than the NOUN. This paper traces the ADJECTIVE and ADJECTIVE migrations of this useful troublesome animal from PLACE to PLACE and back again, emphasizing Catalonia and the American South.
