Hardships In Jamestown

The  NOUNsettlers had selected this location because, they believed that the beautiful  NOUNriver provided clean, refreshing, drinking water. Little did they know they realized that the site was  COLOR marshy. Next thing you know , the  NOUNsettlers did not find any gold at all except  NOUNPyrite aka fool's gold. All the hardworking men did was " dig gold, wash gold, refine gold, and load gold" stated the exasperated John Smith.
